A Commitment 

necessary to protect the child.  Adults can protect themselves but a child depends on parents and their commitment to each other.  To protect the child it is necessary to protect marriage and the family.  Every child needs a mother and a father.  The state cannot replace the family.  Nothing can replace the family.  Only the Church can save the family.
