A canon that only considers apostles. So why did they think John wasn’t the apostle? The apostle wouldn’t use his name five times. He wouldn’t say lamb more times than Jesus. The Baptist would since he didn’t know Jesus was the Lamb. The apostle knew who “bare record” and Jesus.

A Red Sea –
A great sword to take peace from the earth. The rider is Mohammed and the horse is Islam from the Red Sea. The ten dynasties of Islam fit the ten horns in Daniel and the Apocalypse. The Antichrist would start a so-called religion equal to the Christian one. Numbers and colors connect prophecy to history reliably.

A City of God –
A new bible translated by Jerome precedes Augustine’s commentary on the Apocalypse in The City of God. Prior to the Vulgate many believed the Apocalypse did not belong in the bible. This was settled once and for all by Jerome who had the authority to define the bible. We still wonder about who wrote it and when.

A High School Football Game –
A defensive player with two older brothers. The announcer only used the last name of the player who made the tackle. As a senior, I had a very good game on defense against a very good team. We won. At practice the next day, it was said that it sounded like all three of us were in there.
A White Horse –
A bow, not unlike the bow in Genesis 9:13, is a covenant between God and earth. The rider was Constantine from the Aegean or Mediterranean Sea aka the white sea. He started a Christian empire where they reigned with Christ for a thousand years. Color is the key to identifying the four horseman.

A testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is he that readeth. Augustine read it. “Why then read it if only to keep silence about it?” Understanding it is a challenge. You may not have time for this. You may not have that much time. It’s later than you think. You may need help understanding it. Ask for it.

A Train –
A cooler with sandwiches and beer. Not a high speed train. Fun with the kids. Great with a sleeper. If you have the time, don’t pass up an opportunity to take a long train ride. A picnic on the train can be a real treat watching the world go by.
A Horse –
A color of a sea. A location. A clue. White, Red, and Black seas. A new approach to identifying the four horsemen. The Red and Black seas are almost obvious. The White sea not so much except for the fact that the Aegean or Mediterranean sea is also known as the white sea. Constantine is from the Aegean or Mediterranean aka white sea.

A Test –
A purpose for what we are experiencing. What will we do with our will? It must be free but not without consequences. Suffering is a necessary ingredient. How will you react to it? You will need help and you will get it if you ask for it. Can you believe that? You have to believe. Hope will lead you. You have to want this.

A Wife –
A very smart person. How do I know? My kids are smarter than me. Even my grandchildren. I need time to prepare for everything. She doesn’t deal with anything until it is right in front of her. Having someone who challenges everything I do is a real asset. Lucky me.
