A Meditation –
A quiet place. Started doing it before I knew what to call it. Let your mind wander. Do not allow negative thoughts. Ask God to control what you are thinking. Think good thoughts.

A Dynasty –
A suggestion that “the heads are seven successive dynasties” can be found in Sir Isaac Newton’s Daniel and the Apocalypse. The seven dynasties of the Roman Empire are listed here. The ten dynasties of Islam are listed here. Both are a fit with history. The Byzantine Empire started with the fifth dynasty of Rome and ended with the tenth dynasty of Islam.

A Translation Issue –
A beast. Your bible could have as many as 296 beasts or as few as 87. There are 20 translations that consider the beast in Revelation 13:1 a ‘he’ and 37 translations call it an ‘it’. This is a significant difference. Daniel 7:7 can help us here. The fourth beast is an it in all 52 translations. It has ten horns just like the beast in Revelation.

A Bike Ride –
A reason to skip. I can skip if it is too cold, too wet, or too windy. Temperature and wind must be combined below 40 degrees. Now that I am over 80, I welcome any excuse not to ride my bike in the morning.

A Horn Of Plenty –
A connection to Daniel. The “ten horns” of the fourth beast of Daniel are tied to the second beast of the Apocalypse. The ten dynasties of Islam must be consistent with Daniel as well as with the Apocalypse. They are. They fit. The source, Islamicart, is no longer available but a hard copy of it has been saved.

A Big Problem –
A word can be misleading if you are looking for the king of the north. There are eight different words in 52 different translations: princes 24, commanders 10, officers 7, officials 5, generals 2, leaders 2, principalities 1, subordinates 1. These are major differences in words used before you get to the problem of interpreting them.

A Library Named After Him –
A Land O’Lakes Statement. Met him in his library. Theodore Hesburgh placed academic excellence above being Catholic and influenced many other Catholic universities. So where can you go for a Catholic education?

A Sea of Marmara –
A Greek fire on the Sea of Marmara, which was like a sheet of glass is a good fit with “a sea of glass mingled with fire”. Constantinople used Greek fire on the Sea of Marmara against the Islamic attack. The year was 666. Historians will never agree on this date but Gibbon got real close to it.

A Fit With Daniel –
A king of the south, Mohammed, and his daughter, Fatimah, along with one of his commanders, Muawiyah, who will become even stronger is a good fit with Daniel. Some of the bibles use the word princes (25) instead of the more believable words like commanders (11) as we shall see in a following post.

A Good Thing –
A dog can catch the food before it hits the floor. A cat can catch a rat. A pet cannot replace the child. Not even two of them. I now see older people taking care of their kid’s dog. What happened to grandchildren? Only the pets are multiplying. Math is hard.
