A date, a mark, a beginning. A common year 44 BC. The Julian calendar preceded the Gregorian calendar which didn’t start until 1582. The Islamic calendar started in 622 CE and that would be 666 of the Julian calendar which was in effect at that time. The Hegira marks the beginning of Islam.

A Day For Our Lord
A necessary repentance. In the Spirit on the Lord’s day. A time for our Lord. A full stop. A time to reflect. Meditate on what we are all about. Meaning. Purpose. Am I in the right lane? Should I stay in this lane? Who and what am I following? Think about that. Listen to what God wants. Watch for the signs. Speak the truth.

A history of the Roman Empire by Gibbon. Go ahead, pick an Islamic calendar converter and put 46 in it. You get 666. 46 is the number Gibbon used. 46 years after the Hijri year Constantinople was attacked. A date is a mark. Gibbon notes the problems with dates.

A Place To Start
A Christian empire where they reigned with Christ is easy to find. The reign of Christ cannot be found in the Bible. Nor can it be found in history. Only on the internet. “Reigned with Christ” is not “reign of Christ”. Big difference ignored by so many. That is why they ignore the Byzantine Empire which fits with all the major numbers.
A Year
A clue from Daniel. John knows Daniel and Daniel knows number of years. Do we know what happened in the year 666? No. We do know that Muawiyah was preparing to attack Constantinople, the capital of a Christian empire that would last a thousand years, where they reigned with Christ. What does Gibbon know?

A Connection To History
A reliable interpretation. Numbers and colors that all translators agree on are the only reliable confirmation of prophecy fulfilled in history. Nothing else can be trusted and that certainly includes your interpretation which is no better than the others. Numbers and colors found in prophecy can be found in history. Just need to look.
A Christian Empire
A reign with Christ. The Byzantine Empire was a Christian empire that lasted a thousand years when they reigned with Christ. Does it fit with the other numbers: 666, ten horns, and seven heads? The number 666 is next. Daniel is a good place to look for clues. Does he know numbers?

A reason to trust what is written. All translations agree on numbers and colors. Not so much with other words. The writers were inspired. The translators not so much. Too many different versions. Too many different interpretations. Who or what can you trust? Numbers and colors are faithful and true. Use them to connect history with prophecy.

A reliable connection to prophecy. Your interpretation not so much. Same for many bible translators who do not agree. Numbers survive both. It is the only reliable way to verify the fulfillment of prophecy. Use numbers to connect history with what has been prophesied. A thousand years is a good place to start.

A final chapter. These sayings are faithful and true. The translators not so much. They couldn’t agree so we have 60 different English translations with many more revisions. Lord, to whom shall we go? Good question Peter. Not everyone has been properly inspired so some of us must rely on numbers and maybe colors. This is where the translators actually agree.
