A Great Wall Of Theodosius
A fulfillment of prophecy. Constantinople, the new Rome, didn’t always have seven hills but it did in the fifth century when Theodosius extended the walls of the city to include the seventh hill. This has been a “mystery” for most but everyone knew about the “merchants”. Few are aware of this thousand year empire.
A Prophecy Fulfilled
A sea of glass. They used Greek fire on the Sea of Marmara that was like a sheet of glass to defeat the Islamic attackers. The city was Constantinople, the capital of a Christian empire that would last a thousand years. The year was 666. The Byzantine Empire survived this and many other sieges.

No other city has all these characteristics: many waters 17:1, mystery 17:5, seven hills 17:9, merchants 18:11, is fallen, is fallen 18:2, and can be found no more at all 18:21. Constantinople was the capital of a Christian empire that lasted a thousand years.

A number. 666 Historians ignore that year but it is very clear Islam was getting ready to attack Constantinople. Gibbon notes the problem with dates and his 46 years reference puts it as close as 668. Putting 46 in an Islamic calendar converter results in 666. That is a calculation and not a count.

A Beast With Ten Horns At The End
A 666 number to mark its beginning. The great city of Constantinople is also a perfect fit for Babylon the Great. The seven dynasties of the Roman empire started the Byzantine empire and the tenth dynasty of Islam ended it. All of this can be found in history but the great city can be found no more at all.

A beginning. A date is the most common mark on any product sold today. Consider 666 as a mark or a date. What happened in that year? What calendar? The Gregorian started in 1582 or the Julian starting at 44 BC or the Islamic calendar starting in 622? Consider them all.

A confirmation that the Apostle wrote the Apocalypse was needed for it to be in the bible today. Chrysostom was in Ephesus when Jerome was finishing the Vulgate. Many didn’t believe it was written by the Apostle and therefore didn’t belong in the bible. Thanks to Jerome we have it in the bible today.
