A revelation in Daniel. What makes a beast a beast? Daniel knows beasts and abominations. Jesus wanted us to pay attention to them. An abomination is something that you do to the holy place. The Temple. Only a beast would mess with the Temple. With only two Temples, how do you get four beasts?

A Holy Place
A temple where “there shall not be left here one stone upon another”. Jesus wants us to pay attention to the “abomination of desolation”. What is in the holy place now? Only Daniel knows and he also knows beasts. So what makes a beast a beast? A good question. There must be something special about a beast of Daniel.
A Number
A year, a starting point, a date. Nearly all products have a mark or a date marking the beginning of its existence. A beast will also have a starting point and in most cases an end point. There could be an exception. One was diverse from all the beasts that were before it. How do we identify a beast?

A Third John
A writer on the isle called Patmos. Many said it wasn’t written by John the Apostle. Others said it didn’t belong in the bible. Someone had to convince Jerome it was written by the Apostle because he included it in the Vulgate. John Chrysostom was the right person, at the right place, and at the right time. Really.
A Starting Point
A thousand years in history where they reigned with Christ. The “reign of Christ” cannot be found in the bible. Only on the internet. Go figure. Start with the big number. There’s only one. No interpretation required. The smaller numbers are not so hard to find.

A Man Named Jerome
A new translation. The Vulgate would become the official bible of the Church and it would include the Apocalypse. At the beginning of the fifth century Jerome was finishing his bible and John Chrysostom was in Ephesus replacing seven bishops. Augustine didn’t want another bible. He had words with Jerome. An interesting time.
A Revelation
A blessing for those who readeth. Promised at the beginning and again at the end for the time is at hand. If you keepeth the sayings. The time was near for the first coming. It is now near for the second. Prepare the way. Where is John the Baptist when you really need him?

A Testimony
A shewing to His servants (plural). His servant, (singular), John who bare record is tied to John the Apostle in his gospel. Start at the beginning. The first verse. This is a clue that there is more than one John. Three different Johns. One who bare record, one to the churches, and one who is also your brother. This is just the first clue.
A Little Book
A prophecy repeated. John the Apostle to the seven churches. John the Baptist who bare record knew the Lamb of God and the Apostle knew the Baptist. John Chrysostom, a third john and a brother, was in Ephesus at the beginning of the fifth century when Jerome was finishing the Vulgate, the official bible of the Church.

A key piece of the puzzle. Only John Chrysostom could say, “five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come”. He was talking about the seven dynasties of the Roman Empire. Only an astronomer could say John Chrysostom, who was in Ephesus at the beginning of the fifth century, wrote the Apocalypse. Only R. H. Charles would include something like this in his book”Studies in the Apocalypse”. Really.
