in the book of Daniel. A date is the most common mark there is. It is on most every product that you might buy or sell. It is the origin of the product. The starting point. The originator of the Julian calendar was assassinated 44 BC. The Islamic calendar started in 622. The mark of Islam is 666 in the Julian calendar.
A Big Number
to be connected with a thousand. Stick with years and see if they fit. What happened in the year 666? Islam with ten dynasties was preparing to attack Constantinople, the capital of a Christian empire that would last a thousand years.

who made the world safe for Christians. He started a Christian empire where they reigned with Christ a thousand years. He started the fifth of the seven dynasties of the Roman Empire. He was the rider of the white horse and his bow was a covenant with God.

from a literal interpretation. What does a thousand years mean? A thousand years. This should be our first guess. Numbers may be the only literal part of prophecy. Something the translators couldn’t get wrong. Everything else in our 59 different English versions of the bible might be suspect.

to understanding the Apocalypse. Daniel knows beasts. John knows Daniel. Your interpretation of what John wrote should be consistent with what Daniel wrote. Daniel understood by books the number of the years. Bible translators agree on numbers. No interpretation necessary. A good place to start. Start with big numbers.
