A fit with history. Constantinople is Babylon the Great and Islam is the beast that hated the whore. It is a mystery and likely to remain so but the fit with history cannot be denied. It is fallen, is fallen, and can be found no more at all. It had merchants. It has many waters. It has seven mountains. No other city fits like Constantinople.

A number to connect them. Numbers have survived translation errors and agenda driven interpretations. Numbers can be reliably used to identify historical events that seem to fulfill prophecies. Look for all the key numbers like a thousand, 666, ten, and seven. See if they fit. See if they make sense.

Numbers are the only way to reliably connect historical events to what has been prophesied. Start with a big number like a thousand years. There is only one where they reigned with Christ. A number to connect them. A reliable way to find historical events that seem to fulfill what has been prophesied. There are way too many different interpretations of way too many different translations of the bible to confirm any fulfillment of prophecy. A Reason to Explain –
A need to understand what is written. From Augustine:
“What then, Brothers, shall we keep silence?
Why then read it if only to keep silence about it?
Or
why hear it if it is not to be explained?
But also,
why explain it if it is not to be understood?”

A Purpose For Our Existence –
A word not found in some bibles. Here is an example from one that has it. We are being tested. “Many shall be refined, purified, and tested, but the wicked shall prove wicked; the wicked shall have no understanding, but those with insight shall.” This is the purpose, the reason, why we are here. Life has meaning. Those with insight shall understand. Testing 1, 2, 3.

A Reason to Believe –
A blessing for “he that hath an ear”. A promise for he that overcometh. Not being hurt by the second death must be the most important. There is little agreement as to what the second death means. The death of the soul should be the primary consideration. Fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
