A Military Figure –
A thousand year reign. Constantine made the world safe for Christianity. For a thousand years. Prayer isn’t sufficient. It takes a military force to protect the Church.

A Time To Think –
A yes, maybe no. I don’t know, is my instinctive reaction. I trust that. Think first. Trust that. Instincts no.

A Spring Green –
A first flower. April. No more freezing. Pots can stay out. Trips to the nursery. Open windows. More time on the patio. Watching things grow. Getting the shorts out. Bird watching.

A Grocery Store –
A day without a trip to the grocery store is like a day without sunshine. Quoting a friend of mine. We were two guys who preferred to talk about cooking than sports.

A Happy Person –
A business smile is what I call it. No one wants to talk to someone who is having a bad day. Anger or hate doesn’t look good on anyone. Get over it. Put on a happy face.

A Book Not Read –
A book named WordPress. I try to read what others like me are posting. “In The Shadow Of The Sword” by Tom Holland is the last book I sat down to read. A book about Islam that I had already read. Mohammed is a major player.

A New England –
A place for all seasons. It has trees and old homes. Spring and Fall are the best and the Winter and Summer are mild. I would be there right now if I had a grandchild there. As a young family, we got four years there.

A Meditation –
A quiet place. Started doing it before I knew what to call it. Let your mind wander. Do not allow negative thoughts. Ask God to control what you are thinking. Think good thoughts.

A Bike Ride –
A reason to skip. I can skip if it is too cold, too wet, or too windy. Temperature and wind must be combined below 40 degrees. Now that I am over 80, I welcome any excuse not to ride my bike in the morning.

A Library Named After Him –
A Land O’Lakes Statement. Met him in his library. Theodore Hesburgh placed academic excellence above being Catholic and influenced many other Catholic universities. So where can you go for a Catholic education?
