A Hobby No More –
A relaxing activity. It started with my mother who couldn’t resist it. She would complain when I started a 1500 piece puzzle. Cooking and cleaning would have to wait. It was time well spent together. A special table, a special stool, and a special place near a window all gave way to my wife’s hobby. More time for posting, research, cooking, and the patio rocking chair.
A Favorite Candy –
A difficult decision. Something with dark chocolate. It could be almond, coconut, peppermint, or lemon. I’m thinking. Take time to think. Thinking takes time. Can I get back to you?
A Database –
A place to store information. The most important invention in my lifetime. Some would say it is the computer which is necessary to do a database. We can argue about that. It was the database that made the computer important. Knowledge shall increase.
A Time Out –
A break from breaking news. Do we really need to know? Bad things are happening all over. What can you do about it? Listen and think about it. They are asking for money. Who do you give it to? Who can you trust? Give me a break. From the news.
A Time To Learn Something –
A day with sunshine. A good cup of coffee. Two soft boiled eggs. Meeting someone with a smile. Asking a question. Learning something new. Socrates believed you can learn something from anyone. Happiness is learning. Therefore teaching should make others happy. Ask a question. Answer a question. It will make someone happy. An ideal situation.

A perspective on life. The test of time. Any new product must be tested. A word not found in many bibles. Test your Bible. One has the word 381 times. This is a test.

A Chili Recipe –
A hot spicy one with no tomatoes. Just 80/20 hamburger, dark red kidney beans, white onions, chili powder, chicken broth, and extra crushed red pepper. I make spaghetti on the side because she can’t take the heat. It’s the best thing for a sore throat when you are coming down with a cold.
A TI99 –
A keyboard that hooked up to your TV. I told my wife to get it when the price came down to $100. A technician at work showed me how to save a program with my tape recorder. I had to learn BASIC programming and would take my work home until someone told me how to use this new computer on my desk at work. “Just type BASIC”. It was love at first sight.
A Crowd Of People –
A time to be heard without preparation. Public speaking scares me. Need to be asked. Need time to prepare. Only once did I speak up without being asked and without preparation because it looked like no one else would do it. It was mentioned in the local newspaper.
