for old guys to take one for the team. Us old guys have the highest rate of death from coronavirus. We can stay in our room and drink beer. All the others should go back to work and let the chips fall where they may. Do it for the kids. Be not afraid. Be careful. Be kind. Be reasonable.
A Rest
for a couple days. Mail and packages. Do not open right away unless it is toilet paper. Be not afraid. Be careful. Be kind.
A Good Thing

A Closed Mouth
protects everyone. What comes out of your mouth can hurt you and others. Inhaling through your nose protects you. Exhaling though your nose protects others.
A Dry Idea
for whatever you wash. Give it plenty of time to dry. A good practice even when there is no crisis. The dishwasher is not a good dryer. Open the door and pull the rack out while it is still warm and give the dishes plenty of time to dry before putting them away.
A Crisis
requiring our immediate attention. Now we know what a crisis looks like. The cure can be worse than the disease. You hear estimates that 5 out of 8 may eventually be infected by coronavirus. Maybe they are just trying to scare us but shutting down the economy just to save 3 out of 8 doesn’t make sense. Flatten the curve? Really? Like cutting the tail off an inch at a time.
A Program
that is already in place. Why not use it to stimulate the economy? You don’t have to send money to everyone. Just increase the unemployment benefits temporarily. That’s a duh?
A Cheap Shot
that cannot be resisted. While elderly voters were seen at polling places in spite of the risks, Bernie Sanders supporters were seen partying on the beach in Florida. They still want free stuff but will settle for beer on the beach in spite of the risks.
A Good Thing
that protects you and others. Some stores give you a chance to clean your hands or gloves on the way out. Just another common sense solution to an existing short term problem. Be not afraid. Be careful. Be kind.
A Shortage
and it is time to talk about it. The flushable wipe. Our sanitation systems will be tested. A tax might be necessary to reduce sales and provide funds to handle the added sanitation volume. What was meant for the bottom is now being used for the top of surfaces.
