A History of the Church –

A dog that didn’t bark.  Eusebius never associates the churches with the Apocalypse.  He does mention six of the seven churches but does not connect them with the Apocalypse.  Since Victorinus has the same problem, it suggests that there may have been a version of the Apocalypse that didn’t have the seven churches.

A List Of Problems –

A waste of time worrying about things you can do nothing about. Complaining. I could do less complaining. That is a double negative which should be a positive. Why not just be positive by appreciating what you have? Life.

Daily writing prompt
What could you do less of?

a prophecy

A Revelation –

A book of what is to come.  Only history can verify what has been prophesied.  History based on numbers.  Not on interpretation.  You can only trust numbers.  Numbers do not have to be interpreted.  Start with the big numbers like a thousand and it might lead you to the Byzantine Empire that fits with all the other numbers.  And colors.

a misinterpretation

A Premillennialist –

A thousand year “Reign of Christ”.  They “reigned with Christ” is what is in the bible.  That is a big difference.  Look for a thousand years where they reigned with Christ.  They did the reigning in a Christian empire that lasted a thousand years.  Like the Byzantine Empire.  It’s the only one.  Check it out.  It fits with the other numbers.  And colors.

A Patio –

A water dish for the birds but others take a drink including feral cats. Just like birds, there can never be too many cats. They belong outside. They take care of the rats. There will always be too many rats. I never see them at the dish.

Daily writing prompt
Do you ever see wild animals?

a history of the bible

Canon –

A redaction at the turn of the fifth century.  Jerome defined the bible when he finished the Vulgate which would become the official bible of the Church. It contains the oldest existing copy of the Apocalypse.  We can only speculate on what it looked like before that time based on other older existing documents.
