a broken bone

A Rain Problem –

A right leg damaged jumping when it was wet. Twice. The first time only required stitches. The second a cast. Broken ankle. A plate and six screws fix. Workers Comp covered it and gave me $4500 if and when I wanted them removed. They now recommend leaving them in which I did. Kept the money. No more jumping even if it is not wet.

A Retired Person –

A long day. WordPress posting, a bike ride, and small projects in the morning. Neighborhood watching in a rocking chair with a beer on the patio if it is not too hot, cold, or wet. Napping when I can. The day is too long.

A Record of What Wasn’t –

A problem with Eusebius and Victorinus.  They don’t seem to be aware of the seven churches of the Apocalypse.  Eusebius mentions six of the seven churches but never associates them with the Apocalypse.  Victorinus mentions the seven churches that Paul wrote to but not the seven churches of the Apocalypse.  Was there a version of the Apocalypse that did not have the seven churches?

A Temporal Denial –

A fasting or abstaining. The body can let you know when you are doing something to excess. The doctor too often will just treat the symptoms instead of looking for the cause. In the past I had to deal with an eye problem and gout. It was my guess that caffeine was causing the eye issue. Dr. Google, she was a nurse, told me what to do about the gout. Beer, fruit juices, and sweets. After giving it all up, I can now drink coffee and beer in moderation. Moderation in all things including moderation.
