with no history but everyone knew Constantinople was the target of the Arabs. They were ready to attack and the Christians were ready to defend themselves. In addition to the walls, they had Greek fire. Some historians could not be trusted with dates according to Gibbon. This was the first siege of Constantinople by the Arabs.
A Yoke
according to Gibbon who understood the threat of Islam. He also understood dates and a way to get to 666. He knew the significance of Greek Fire. Was he aware of Revelation 15:2? Did he know about the Sea of Marmara on a calm day? A sea of glass mingled with fire.

The originator of the Julian calendar was assassinated 44 BC. The Islamic calendar started in 622. The mark of Islam is 666 in the Julian calendar.

to be connected with a thousand. Stick with years and see if they fit. What happened in the year 666? Islam with ten dynasties was preparing to attack Constantinople, the capital of a Christian empire that would last a thousand years.

or I should say the word number. Found it in Daniel and it referred to years. I then searched history to find out what happened in the year 666. Nothing. I did find Islam was getting ready to attack Constantinople the capital of a Christian empire that would last a thousand years where they reigned with Christ. Not a bad start.

of the big pieces. The Byzantine Empire – a thousand years. Constantinople – Babylon the Great. The seven heads – the seven dynasties of Roman Empire. The ten horns – the ten dynasties of Islam. The second dynasty of Islam attacked Constantinople in the year – 666 – and in the year 1453, Constantinople fell to the tenth dynasty of Islam.
