with history, Greek Fire, and the Sea of Marmara that included a thousand year Christian empire and a leading candidate for Babylon the Great surviving the first attack by the second beast. Here the Sea of Marmara was like a sheet of glass. This “huge armada proceeded on a smooth sea” and the “fire-ships of the Greeks were launched against them” The year was 666. Revelation 15:2

A Significant Number
in the Apocalypse. The first; 666 is the Hijra with the Julian calendar and the second; 666 is the year Islam attacked Constantinople but the best part is the fit with Revelation 15:2. Fire on a sea of glass with a beast, a mark, a number, and an image. It all fits.

A Necessary Ingredient

There is also a difference between its and his. 15 count 666 and 27 calculate it. 20 have its number and 29 have his number. The beast is an it started by him and you calculate his number.

It also depends on the translation or version of the bible used. Do you count the number or calculate it? Is the number his or its? It’s complicated.

with Revelation 15:2. Constantinople used Greek fire to defeat Islam and the year was 666. The Sea of Marmara was like a sea of glass. “the Sea of Marmara was like a sheet of glass” See what Gibbon has to say about the date 666.
A Missing Date
in history. Nothing happened. So what was going on just before or after that date? Gibbon has something in 668 but it requires a calculation. “Forty-six years after the flight of Mahomet from Mecca, his disciples appeared in arms under the walls of Constantinople.” His 46 years is interesting. If you put 46 in an Islamic calendar converter, you get 666.
