a thousand year empire starting with the seven dynasties of the Roman Empire and ending with the tenth dynasty of Islam. The first beast, Rome, whose deadly wound was healed was replaced by the second beast Islam. The Byzantine Empire fits with all the numbers you can trust. You can’t trust interpretation.

A Beginning
A year or date. I started with the most famous number 666. In Daniel 9:2 number refers to years. From Wikipedia AD 666 we find the Byzantine Empire a Christian empire that would last a thousand years. What we don’t find is they were about to be attacked by a new religion, Islam. A closer look is warranted.
A Reign with Christ
a thousand year Christian empire where they gathered in His Name and they reigned with Christ. The Byzantine Empire. Totally ignored by the Premillennialists who are looking for the “reign of Christ” which you cannot find in the bible. Why not start with history and see where it takes you? See if it fits.

Historians do a fine job of staying away from that year but we do know that about that time Islam was getting ready to attack Constantinople the capital of a Christian empire that lasted a thousand years.

There are about 60 different English translations of the bible but they agree on “a thousand years” where they reigned with Christ. There is only one Christian empire that lasted a thousand years. A Big Number
a place to start. A thousand years is real. A time when they reigned with Christ. He promised to be with us when we gather in His name. If they were reigning when they gathered in His name, they reigned with Christ. That was the case with the Byzantine Empire, a Christian empire, that lasted a thousand years.

The Kingdom of God will not end. Way too many think the thousand years will begin with the Second Coming. They need to check history.
