A peace that comes with it. Sometimes it is as simple as a cat jumping up to a high chair so I can pet it without bending down. 16

A Front Porch –
A back porch. Rocking chairs. Roses and daylilies. A dog to keep the rabbits from eating my crocuses. Dogwood and Red Bud trees. A wood stove in the basement underneath the kitchen. Lots of windows. A bird feeder. A birdbath. An outdoor cat. Who could ask for more?

A Threat To Rats –
A dog will warn with a bark. The cat quietly kills the rat which can be the greater threat. There can never be too many cats.
