A common beast with Daniel and John. The “ten horns” ties them together. Sebeos may have been the first to recognize Islam as the fourth beast of Daniel. Much later the ten dynasties of Islam would be identified by Islamic historians. The Ottoman Empire, the tenth dynasty of Islam ended a thousand year Christian empire. The Byzantine Empire. –

A beast in the making. What makes a beast a beast? The temple. Don’t mess with the temple. Historians will remember that. Babylon destroyed the first temple. Greece desecrated the second. Rome destroyed the second. Islam is preventing the third. The Dome of the Rock is the abomination of desolation. It stands in the holy place.

A beast in the mind of Daniel is different from all the rest. So what makes a beast a beast? Most agree on Antiochus of Greece. All he did was desecrate the second temple. Rome destroyed it. Babylon destroyed the first one. So what is preventing the third one? It should tell us about the fourth beast of Daniel.
A Source For Antiochus
A book not found in many bibles. Jesus mentions the abomination found in Daniel. You will not find Antiochus if your bible does not have the book Maccabees which also mentions the abomination that must be understood to identify what makes a beast a beast in the mind of Daniel.
A Horn of Plenty
A connection to Daniel. The “ten horns” of the fourth beast of Daniel are tied to the second beast of the Apocalypse. A 4th beast of Daniel, Islam, was first suggested by Sebeos. Tom Holland in his book, “In the Shadow of the Sword“, references Sebeos who believed Islam and not Rome to be the 4th beast of Daniel. Rome was not diverse from all the beasts that were before it. Islam was. It had ten horns.
