A Fact 

that demands some kind of explanation.  Have you heard one?  Probably not.  A reasonable explanation is there were three different Johns connected with the Apocalypse.  John the Baptist, John the Apostle, and John Chrysostom.  It fits with history.  Really.

A Commentary 

by Victorinus modified by Jerome who was not happy with it.  What he added and/or edited is not clear.  It is possible that Victorinus was looking at a copy of the original Apocalypse and Jerome was not aware of this.  This would also explain why so many were convinced it was not written by John the Apostle who may have added the churches at a later date.

A Reason 

to suspect another writer of the Apocalypse.  Not just a different John but a second John.  Few would dare to consider it.  Most couldn’t believe it was possible even though there were reasons to suspect it.  Once considered there were additional signs to be found that would support this theory.
