A need to understand what is written. From Augustine:
“What then, Brothers, shall we keep silence?
Why then read it if only to keep silence about it?
Or
why hear it if it is not to be explained?
But also,
why explain it if it is not to be understood?”

A Reason to Believe –
A blessing for “he that hath an ear”. A promise for he that overcometh. Not being hurt by the second death must be the most important. There is little agreement as to what the second death means. The death of the soul should be the primary consideration. Fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

A healthy distrust of our leaders. Watergate. Question everything and everyone. The search for Truth starts with doubt. Seek and you shall find, ask and you shall receive, knock and it shall be opened unto you. Don’t forget to knock.

A revelation of what must shortly come to pass. Why? To prepare the way for the first coming. The Lamb of God. Not the second coming. Jesus. Lamb is mentioned 27 times. Jesus is mentioned only 12 times. John the Baptist prepared the way for the Lamb of God. He didn’t know it was Jesus.
