A number. 666 Historians ignore that year but it is very clear Islam was getting ready to attack Constantinople. Gibbon notes the problem with dates and his 46 years reference puts it as close as 668. Putting 46 in an Islamic calendar converter results in 666. That is a calculation and not a count.

The seven dynasties of the Roman empire started the Byzantine empire and the tenth dynasty of Islam ended it. All of this can be found in history but the great city can be found no more at all.

A beginning. A date is the most common mark on any product sold today. Consider 666 as a mark or a date. What happened in that year? What calendar? The Gregorian started in 1582 or the Julian starting at 44 BC or the Islamic calendar starting in 622? Consider them all.

A confirmation that the Apostle wrote the Apocalypse was needed for it to be in the bible today. Chrysostom was in Ephesus when Jerome was finishing the Vulgate. Many didn’t believe it was written by the Apostle and therefore didn’t belong in the bible. Thanks to Jerome we have it in the bible today.

A freedom to believe and speak. Be not afraid. Prophecy revealed in history is more comforting than what might be promised for the future. It’s there. You just have to look for it with numbers and colors which can confirm the connection between prophecy and its fulfillment in history. You have to believe.

John Chrysostom, who never quoted the Apocalypse, was in Ephesus at the beginning of the fifth century and Jerome was finishing his Vulgate. Was Chrysostom able to confirm that the Apocalypse was written by the Apostle?
