A balanced approach to society sounds good at first but somehow it makes religion the enemy. It is the opium of the people but “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need” is what Jesus would expect and would require a pair of balances.

A Kingdom To Aspire To
A news of the world to distract us. Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s. We can’t ignore Caesar but don’t forget the real goal. Eternal life. Life is good. The suffering in this world is part of the test to see what we will do about it. It’s a test of our free will. We are only free to do what is right. There are consequences.

A “reign of Christ” cannot be found in the bible. On the internet it will get you 41 million hits. Go figure. The Byzantine Empire was a Christian empire where they reigned with Christ a thousand years. It was started by Constantine and ended by the tenth dynasty of Islam.
