a beast in the making. What makes a beast a beast? Daniel knows beasts and the abomination of desolation mentioned by Jesus. Babylon destroyed the first temple. Greece desecrated the second and Rome destroyed it. Islam and the Dome of the Rock is preventing the third. The four beasts of Daniel.

according to Daniel. Babylon, Media, Greece, and Rome are the usual suspects. Why Media? Babylon, Greece, and Rome had something to do with the Temple but not Media. It is easy to see why messing with the Temple might make you a beast. The abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel is a good clue. So we need a fourth beast with ten horns to replace Media.

A Holy Place
spoken of by Jesus. The Dome of the Rock is now in the holy place and it is just one of the three possibilities for the abomination of desolation you will find in Wikipedia. The other two are Antiochus IV Epiphanes in 167 BC and Titus in 70 AD. All three involve the Temple in some way. The destruction of the first Temple by Babylon should be added to this to suggest what makes a beast a beast. The Temple?

A King of the North
who was a prince of Mohammed, the king of the south, and his daughter was Fatimah. Muawiyah was the first king of the north who established the Umayyad dynasty in Islam. It was this dynasty that constructed the Dome of the Rock. It was just one of ten Islamic dynasties. Ten horns. They fit.

A Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety Days
from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up. Daniel 12:11 may be the key to understanding the abomination spoken of by Jesus. Historians have had a lot of trouble with dates but if you add the first temple destruction date 587 BC to the build date of the Dome of the Rock 691 AD, you get 1278. That is close enough for serious consideration.
