A Different Beast
A common beast with Daniel and John. The “ten horns” ties them together. Sebeos may have been the first to recognize Islam as the fourth beast of Daniel. Much later the ten dynasties of Islam would be identified by Islamic historians. The Ottoman Empire, the tenth dynasty of Islam ended a thousand year Christian empire. The Byzantine Empire. –

A connection to Daniel. The “ten horns” of the fourth beast of Daniel are tied to the second beast of the Apocalypse. A Great Sultan
A fit with Daniel. Saladin came out of the Fatimid Caliphate, the fourth of ten Islamic dynasties, and would start the fifth, the Ayyubid dynasty. We also have the Battle of the Horns of Hama and the Battle of the Horns of Hattin. Saladin was involved in both of them. He not only beat the crusaders, he beat Richard the Lionheart. It’s a fit.

A 4th beast of Daniel, Islam, was first suggested by Sebeos. Tom Holland in his book, “In the Shadow of the Sword“, references Sebeos who believed Islam and not Rome to be the 4th beast of Daniel. Rome was not diverse from all the beasts that were before it. Islam was. It had ten horns.
A Fourth Beast of Daniel
a second beast of the Apocalypse. The “ten horns” tell us that. Is the third beast of Daniel the first beast of the Apocalypse? Let’s see if it fits. Babylon, Greece, Rome, and Islam were all problems for the temple. Rome and Islam were problems for the Christians. So far a fit. Just need to identify the seven heads and ten horns to be sure.
