a conservative bishop, John Cody, shut down the John Joseph Egan operation which was moved to Notre Dame for 14 years until it was safe to return to Chicago under Joseph Bernardin to work on the “Catholic Campaign for Helping Democrats” aka CCHD.  The spirit of Saul Alinsky lives on aka marxism.
