A High School Football Game –
A defensive player with two older brothers. The announcer only used the last name of the player who made the tackle. As a senior, I had a very good game on defense against a very good team. We won. At practice the next day, it was said that it sounded like all three of us were in there.
A Train –
A cooler with sandwiches and beer. Not a high speed train. Fun with the kids. Great with a sleeper. If you have the time, don’t pass up an opportunity to take a long train ride. A picnic on the train can be a real treat watching the world go by.
A Wife –
A very smart person. How do I know? My kids are smarter than me. Even my grandchildren. I need time to prepare for everything. She doesn’t deal with anything until it is right in front of her. Having someone who challenges everything I do is a real asset. Lucky me.
A Strategy –
A way to cope. First I think about what I can or should do about it. A small problem can easily turn into a big one just by overreacting. Ignoring it and doing nothing should always be plan A. Plan B would be talking about it with someone you trust.
A Daily Writing Prompt –
A chance to think and talk about yourself. My favorite topic. I do look forward to this. Get lost in thought and maybe learn something about yourself. Speaking and writing is a challenge for me and I need time to get it right. Thank you WordPress for the opportunity.
A Movie Watched More Than Five Times –
A movie, “My Fair Lady” comes to mind immediately. In my mind it is the greatest movie ever made. There are other movies like “Groundhog Day” but can’t be sure it is five times. I will watch both these movies again and again.
A Black Cat –
A reasonable fear. Not here. Just another color of my favorite animal. I do believe in spirits like the soul that will leave the body when the time is right. That is a reasonable belief. I also believe in spirits that you drink. Like beer.
A Killer Of Rats –
A hunter that investigates anything new. Sniff. There will always be too many rats and not enough cats. They are fighters and belong outside. They have always been my favorite animal and would like to compare myself to them.
A Doctor Who Extends Life –
A chance to live longer. There are always risks. To see a hundred is not a goal of mine. If it takes that long to get me ready, so be it. Til then my goal will continue to be to reach as many as I can to share what I have learned. What I believe. What I think. Thank you WordPress.
A Place That Delivers –
A Wells Fargo Wagon is a-comin is one of my favorite movie songs but now we have too many trucks driving through our neighborhood. Why can’t we get just one that delivers everything including the junk from the post office? Maybe Elon can figure out how to do it.
