a history of the bible

Canon –

A redaction at the turn of the fifth century.  Jerome defined the bible when he finished the Vulgate which would become the official bible of the Church. It contains the oldest existing copy of the Apocalypse.  We can only speculate on what it looked like before that time based on other older existing documents.

A Reliable Source –

A reason to believe in the bible.  Only history can confirm the fulfillment of prophecy.  Only numbers and colors can reliably connect history and prophecy.  Do all the different bibles agree on anything?  Numbers and colors.  They don’t need to be interpreted.  Unlike many other words that seem to demand it.

A High Priest –

A candlestick and olive tree.  Two witnesses.  A search for two olive trees leads to Zechariah 4:3 and that leads to Zerubbabel a governor who is always associated with Joshua a high priest.  Church and state.  History has two Christian empires; the Byzantine Empire and the Holy Roman Empire. Both were defeated by the horns of the second beast. The Byzantines actually used Greek Fire coming out of the mouths of animal figures mounted on the boats to defeat the Muslim attackers.

A Threat to Christianity –

A threat to peace.  The rider was Mohammed who was given a great sword.  History records all the battles that can be attributed to Islam, the religion of peace.  It started at the Red Sea.  The Russians from the Black sea slowed them down but they must still be reckoned with.  Don’t ignore the color.
