A thousand year Christian empire can be found where they “reigned with Christ” but the Byzantine Empire is being ignored. It is not a mystery why. Using your interpretation and not history will always lead to a misinterpretation of prophecy.

More can’t look past Rome to Constantinople which is a better fit for Babylon the Great.
