A River Runs Through It
A city with “many waters” needs more than a river. It needs merchants who need a place to park their boats. Rome was not a mystery and the Tiber river is no place to park your boat. Constantinople was and is a mystery and likely to remain so. She didn’t have seven hills until Theodosius II extended her walls in the fifth century to include a seventh hill.
A Dynasty
A number ten. The ten dynasties of Islam. Named by Islamicart. A site no longer active but a hardcopy has been saved. They “shall hate the whore”. Constantinople, which fell to the tenth dynasty, was started by the fifth dynasty of Rome. Historians know how to count dynasties. There are way too many kings.
A Problem With The Temple
A beast of Daniel is “diverse from all the beasts”. What makes a beast of Daniel diverse? The Temple. Jesus called it the “abomination of desolation”. So what is in the “holy place” now? The Dome of the Rock. Don’t mess with the Temple. We know about the moneychangers. Don’t mess with His Church.
A Fit With Daniel
A connection with “ten horns”. John knows Daniel who knows beasts. The beasts of John are the last two beasts of Daniel. All four beasts of Daniel had something to do with the Temple. Babylon destroyed the first one. Greece desecrated the second. Rome destroyed the second. Islam is preventing the third.
A Fit With History
A fulfillment of prophecy must include all the numbers. The Byzantine empire has them all. A thousand years, 666, ten horns, seven heads, five are fallen, four horsemen, three unclean spirits, and two witnesses. Only history can confirm the fulfillment of prophecy and only numbers can reliably connect them.
A Beginning
A start. A date code is the most common mark on a product and “no man might buy or sell” without it. What started in 666? What calendar? 44 BC marked the beginning of the Julian calendar. 622 of the Gregorian calendar would be 666 of the Julian calendar. It marked the beginning of Islam.
A Sea Of Glass Mingled With Fire
A Greek fire was used on the Sea of Marmara that was like a sheet of glass to defeat the disciples of Mahomet. This passage, Revelation 15:2, is about the first siege of Constantinople. It’s about the beast, its mark, its image, its number and the sea of glass.
A Historian Named Gibbon
A problem with dates. Gibbon gets close also with a calculation. “Forty-six years after the flight of Mahomet from Mecca, his disciples appeared in arms under the walls of Constantinople.” 622 is the beginning Islam. 668 is close but if you put 46 in an Islamic calendar converter, you get 666.
A Year In History
A historian named John Julius Norwich gets 666 in his book “Byzantium” with a calculation. “The ensuing strife continued until 661, when Ali’s own assassination left Muawiya supreme. For the next five years the Muslim world would be in ferment – and Byzantium could breath again.”
