A listener not. Sometimes we think too much is what my dad said to me often. He also said don’t forget to listen. I say don’t forget to think.

Thomas Hobbes said “Words are wise men’s counters, they do but reckon with them. But they are the currency of fools.” – by which I think he meant words are better employed for thinking that speaking, unless the speech is properly thought through.
