A Morning Walk –
A growling German shepherd in front of me. I slowly bent down to pick up a stone and the dog took off like it had seen a ghost. Apparently it looked like I crouched down to attack.

A Discipline From The Mother –
A father who doesn’t spend as much time with the kids shouldn’t be the bad guy. I wanted the kids to be happy to see me when I came home from work.

A White Snow –
A clean street before anyone drives on it. Don’t even want to go outside. Why can’t we just let it be and enjoy the peaceful quiet for awhile?

A Man With A Pickup Truck –
A piece of wood that wouldn’t fit in my car. He helped me get it home and wouldn’t take any money. I had to ask for help. This is a good dailyprompt. It makes you think about someone else’s kindness.

A Grandpa –
A chance to watch the grandchildren grow. To wonder about what you would do differently. Just show up and be there. There will come a time when you can’t even do that. Then you have to just hope they will show up and be there.

A Bible In A Year –
A study with my wife and daughter who is a stay at home mom. Our daughter suggested that we meet twice a week to discuss it. We are now a third of the way through it. The most interesting part is this concept of wrestling with God.

A Fulbright Scholar –
A proof for the existence of God being discussed in a bar. She never heard it. She was talking to a priest who I was hoping could find me a place to live temporarily. The priest was sure she could. I offered to buy her lunch to talk about it. A Catholic Fulbright Scholar who didn’t know how to prove the existence of God. Somehow she needed to hear about it.

A Bible –
A Book of books. Read the beginning and the end but not the middle. Still working on it. A book of stories. Stories to wrestle with.

A Heigh Ho –
A great moment in cinematic history. It’s off to work we go. Weary and tired. We go because we must. Work now and feast later. Somehow we lost this. Borrow now and pay later. Don’t worry about the debt. It’s time to have fun.
