a best purchase ever made

A Sports Car –

A friend when I was young let me drive his sports car. I had to wait until I was 70 to get my first one. A BRZ. Loved it so much I gave it to my son and bought another one. My sports car days lasted eight years when I found it was too hard to get in and out of.

What is the best purchase you have ever made?

a screen time eater

A YouTube App –

A place for music and movies. I feel a little bad about it. Could I spend more time sleeping? I do need to spend more time resting because of a bad heart valve. I would like to thank all those people on YouTube that show me how to fix the garage door, the dawn to dusk control, etc.

What app eats up most of your screen time — and do you even feel bad about it?

a movie or book that inspired you to travel

A Book By JFK –

A Profiles In Courage. A trip to India with the Peace Corps. New York, Porto Rico, Californian and Rome before India and Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, and Hawaii, after. Around the world. It was my first real decision. Before that my life had been preordained. It seemed like everyone wanted to talk me out of it. It was a chance to make a difference.

a technology I miss the most

A Manual Transmission –

A sports car. Too old to get in and out of it. For eight years it was our only car. My wife and daughter could drive it. Loved shifting those gears. Had an old car that I could shift without using the clutch. Loved those winding roads.
